HCD 1,2,3

The Superstox were in action last Saturday at Arlington Stadium for their opening meeting of 2020. Jake Sturt 354 was debuting his new Zetec HCD fresh from the Peterborough MWA Show. Practice was the first time Jake had driven the car so he was thrown in at the deep end, but with a very respectable 3rd place in the final and 2nd quickest lap of the night Jakes HCD 'Holly' looks to be going in the right direction. Randal Lynn 492 was racing his freshly painted hire car as 'Black Beauty' is undergoing some changes. New Kid On The Block

Local youngster Connor Hollingsworth had his new HCD 1300 Stockcar on display on the Spedeworth Motorsport stand at the recent MWA Show in Peterborough. Connor 17 started in the 1300 Stockcar formula as soon as he was 16 and despite several large knocks he loves the formula. According to Dad Barry, Connors only previous racing experience was his scalextric! Sturts Show Stopper

The new HCD Dozer of Jake Sturt was on display at the recent MWA Show in Peterborough. Jake brought the car from HCD fully bracketed, fully panelled and with all the suspension, all the finishing off work was done by himself and Dad Ian, and what a fantastic job they did to get it to show standard. Jake has kept his usual colour scheme of Red, yellow and white and has changed over to the Zetec Engine this season. He will be doing what meetings he can but with Wife Chloe due to give birth to their first child this summer that is his main prioriety. We wish Jake good luck for the 2020 season and look forward to meeting Baby Sturt!

Skoyles Switches To Superstox

Lightening Rod Multi Champion Lee Skoyles is ready to start his Superstox career this season, Lee from Great Yarmouth sold his Lightening Rod after the National Weekend at Hednesford last year and with a bit of persuasion from his family decided to move on to the Superstox formula. Lee has decided to go with the Zetec engine which many drivers now seem to be opting for. Dad Graham knows his way around an engine and is a big part of the Skoyles racing team, helping both Lee and Lee's eldest two sons Louis and Ellis in their various formulas at most meetings. We look forward to seeing Lee out on track in his Hammond Cars sponsored Superstox this season!
