HCD 1,2,3

Updated: Mar 9, 2022

The Superstox were in action last Saturday at Arlington Stadium for their opening meeting of 2020. Jake Sturt 354 was debuting his new Zetec HCD fresh from the Peterborough MWA Show. Practice was the first time Jake had driven the car so he was thrown in at the deep end, but with a very respectable 3rd place in the final and 2nd quickest lap of the night Jakes HCD 'Holly' looks to be going in the right direction.

Randal Lynn 492 was racing his freshly painted hire car as 'Black Beauty' is undergoing some changes. Randal is getting to grips with the ex Bryan Forrest/Tom Holden car and had two 2nd places in the heats before engine trouble ended his final, he was then collected hard from behind by a couple of cars, but thankfully escaped injury and damage.

If you are interested in hiring this car contact Randal on his facebook page Randal Lynn Superstox 492.

Chris Capon 419 was in excellent form, winning heat 1 and having an excellent race in the final with Chopper 51, Chopper leading the final until the last lap, when a well timed move by Chris saw him take the win with Chopper 2nd. An excellent win for Chris!

In car footage from this meeting and many more can be found on Chris's Facebook page Chris Capon Superstox 419.

Colin 'Chopper' Aylward 51 was out in the now slightly different looking Black Beauty Mk2. After some persuasion Chopper had lowered the high wing and most people seemed to prefer it down low.

After a 5th place in heat 1 Chopper bagged his first win of 2020 in heat 2 and had to settle for 2nd place in the final behind Chris Capon 419 with Jake Sturt 354 3rd making it a HCD 1,2,3

Many thanks to Randal and Stephen from the Facebook Spedeworth Superstox page for the photos.
